18U Gold - Our 18U Gold kicked-off the season by taking second place in the 18U Gold Championship Bracket of the 2016 Memorial Day Madness tournament.
Our team finished 7-2-1 with championship day wins against the Maryland Chill Gold, Severna Park Hornets Gold and Tri-State Thunder Gold before losing a close championship game to the Heartbreakers Gol
16U A/Gold - Our 16U A/Gold kicked-off the season by taking
first place in the 16U Memorial Day Newtown Rock Festival.
Our team finished 6-1 with championship day wins against
the Rock 16U, Banshees and Branchburg Blaze
14U - Our 14U A/Gold kicked-off the season by competing in
the 14U Memorial Day Madness tournament. Our team gained
valuable experience in the 88 team event.
12U - Our 12U kicked-off the season by taking second place in
the Hickory Spring League.
Fall 2015, our 18U Gold (above) posted 7 wins and 3 losses in the an impressive Fall season with wins over: NJ Extreme Showcase, NJ Venom Gold, NJ Breakers 18U, Outlaws 18U Gold, NC Firecrackers Gold, Fquguier Freeze (Brown) and the ROCK Gold 18U (Cognigni)
Fall 2015, Congratulations to our 16U/A (above) for winning the ASA "A" National Qualifier in Wilmington, DE with an impressive win over the Long Island Elite.
NOOK Gold Tournament Finalist
February 2016, our 18U Gold (above) posted 3 wins and 1 loss finishing in Second Place at the NOOK Gold Indoor Tournament.
Summer 2015
16U/A out scores the opposition 79-7 to finish the weekend a perfect 8-0 and win the Memorial Day Shootout on a walk off in the bottom of the seventh with two outs!
The Maryland Black Ice 18U Gold team hosted a mini clinic featuring Stevenson University Head Coach Julia Culotta and former Unversity of Maryland standout Kathy McLaughlin. They led the 18U Black Ice players, and their guests the 16U LTRC Lazers, through a series of hitting, throwing and fielding drills.
Kathy McLaughlin, a first team All-ACC shortstop at Maryland, went on to spend six years as
Eastern Tech High School heads into the 2018 season ranked number 1 in the Baltimore Sun All-Metro poll. The Mavericks are led by Black Ice 18U Gold team shortstop Casey Turner (senior) and catcher Miranda Burton (junior).
